Amman Baccalaureate School Field Trip

On 17 November 2014, 20 students from Amman Baccalaureate School in the eighth grade visited the Royal Botanic Garden.

The field trip was part of a community service awareness programme at the school, which specifically aims to raise the children's understanding of the environment.

The group learned about the biodiversity of plants, the role of the Garden in conserving them, and the RBG's sustainable living and future plans.

The students also visited the Garden's research center, and had a briefing in the Nursery, Seed Bank and Herbarium.

Later, they helped decorate litter bins, make roof shading from reed, and transfer seedlings from the lower nursery near King Talal dam to the upper nursery near the research centre.

The trip ended by conducting a short drive to the dam reservoir for all students to enjoy the scenery.
