Showy perennial herb, 20-40 cm tall, with many basal, soft stems, covered by dense woolly hairs

Leaves: Simple, oblong, lanceolate-linear, subsessile, greyish, covered by dense, wolly hairs.

Flowers: 4-7 mm in diameter, terminal, surrounded by red bracts

Flowering: April-June

Habitat: Mountainous forest vegetation in Salt, Dibeen, Jarash and Ajloun
