Perennial, 0.5-2 m high, with woody bases and many fleshy green smooth branches

Leaves: dissected into linear, smooth segments, usually falling soon

Flowers: Yellow, about 0.5 cm in diameter, arranged in terminal raceme, producing fleshy berries, white-red in colour

Flowering: February-June

Habitat: Tropical conditions in Dead Sea, Wadi Araba, Aqaba and Wadi Rum
