Perennial herb, 15-30 cm high, with bulb 2-3 cm in diameter, covered by greyish scales

Leaves: basal, canal-like, 0.5-1.5 cm wide, erect then falling down, hairless

Flowers: Buds arranged in a cylindrical, dense inflorescence, becoming loose at flower opening; floral parts 1-1.5 cm long, white, with a narrow green strip along the midrib

Flowering: March-April

Habitat: Mountains in Irbid, Ajloun, Yarmouk, Salt and Amman
