Perennial, 20-50 cm in h eight, with main stem branching above, covered by minute, soft hairs

Leaves: Oblong-lanceolate, entire, minutely hairy

Heads: 1.5-2.5 cm in diameter, subsessile, surrounded by very logn spiny involucres

Flowering: March-May

Habitat: Mountainous areas in Amman, Salt, Jarash, Ajloun and Irbid
