Leaves: 0.5-1 cm long, oblong-elliptic, with sharp ends and rough margins, surrounded by dense, hyaline stipules

Flowers: White, usually minute, arranged in heads of 1 cm in diameter, surrounded by hyaline bracts

Flowering: February-May

Habitat: Waste ground and mountains in Irbid, Ajloun, Jarash, Amman, Karak, Tafila and Malfraq
