Family: ANACARDIACEAE

Deciduous tree, 3-5 m in height, with a single trunk, sometimes with many stems when in shrubby form, brown to reddish after falling of leaves

Leaves: Pinnate with 4-5 pairs; leaflets 3-6 cm long, ovate, oblong-lanceolate, with pointed tips; terminal leaflets smaller than lateral ones

Flowers: Unisexual

Flowering: March-April

Fruits: 5 mm in diameter, ovoid-globular, brownish-bluish

Habitat: Mountains and forests in Irbid, Ajloun, Jarash, Amman and Salt
