About the Royal Botanic Garden
The Royal Botanic Garden (RBG) is a unique national project that began as an ambitious and innovative vision by Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Ali, who dedicated her time and efforts to transforming this vision into reality. With the collaborative efforts of key national entities, including the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Environment in Jordan, alongside partnerships with local and international environmental organizations, the RBG was established in 2005. The foundation of the Garden was built on clear principles within an environmental and humanitarian framework, emphasizing cutting-edge scientific research at both national and international levels. This commitment is driven by the RBG’s vision of fostering a society that thrives in harmony with its natural environment.
